Anahawnons thankful for the KALAHI CIDSS subproject

Communities in Barangay Anahaw are very grateful for the completion of a new KALAHI-CIDSS community sub-project which is the construction of two units 690 linear meters double barrel box culvert it recently implemented. The project was identified by the communities and Barangay Council as one of the priority infrastructure supports of the barangay to enhance agricultural productivity.

The Barangay Council headed by Barangay Captain Nelita Calubag is very happy of the sub-project funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through its KALAHI-CIDSS program. The council is expecting a positive impact of the project to Anahawnons who will fully utilize it especially the farmers who can now have better access to road network in performing their daily rice farming activities and in bringing good rice harvest to the market.

The project has a total cost of Php3,345,027.00 of which Php2,821,597.00 cash grant from KALAHI-CIDSS fund and Php523,430.00 total cash and in-kind contribution from the community, barangay, municipal and provincial LGUs. The breakdown of the community and LGU contributions are as follows: Php72,678.00 cash and/or in-kind from the community; Php16,111.00 cash and Php5,000.00 in-kind from barangay LGU; Php6,400.00 in-kind from municipal LGU; and Php423,241.00 from the  provincial government.
